The New York Preservation Archive Project, Historic Districts Council and the NYC LGBT Historic Sites Project co-sponsored the event Beyond Bricks & Mortar: Rethinking Sites of Cultural History. The event delved into the backstory on early cultural landmarking projects and considered how it could inform similar contemporary efforts.
