6:00 - 8:00 PM
Coney Island Museum
Join us at the Coney Island Museum for a special screening of Little Fugitive (1953). A boy from Brooklyn, wrongly led to believe that he killed another, flees to the fantasy and fun of Coney Island to escape repercussions. This pioneering independent film, listed in the National Film Registry and nominated for an Oscar for Best Story, captures an extraordinary look at the fabled amusement park through the eyes of a 7 year-old. Noted for its cinematography and use of handheld cameras, Little Fugitive is a classic that offers a glimpse into one of New York’s most beloved sites.
The screening is sure to be fun for the whole family, and don’t miss the opportunity to come early and explore the funhouse wonders of the Coney Island Museum! The museum is just a few blocks from the West 8 Street-New York Aquarium F/Q stop or the Coney Island-Stillwell Avenue D/F/N/Q stop.
Tickets are $5; be sure to RSVP early!
